I'm Kyle Huang, a writer based in California. This website hosts a collection of my writings, some intended to be opinion essays and others structured pedagogy. Most essays are written for a general audience without specialized knowledge, but series—which can be found on this page—may have prerequisites.

This website is primarily designed to be used as a public resource, and series are written with that purpose in mind. However, I've made the intentional choice for these to function as supplements and not the sole text to structure your studies around, so practice problems are typically not included. If you are using this website either as an aid for a course or as an autodidact, I'd direct you to Paul's Math Notes and Khan Academy to solidify your understanding of each topic.

Currently, the educational content on this website revolves around mathematics, due to my current studies. Articles are usually written not too long after I've learned the concept myself, in an effort to capture what led me to grok it after any possible confusions. Essays, on the other hand, address any topic that I was interested enough in to research at the time of writing. These range from novel scientific ideas to reflections on books I've read recently.

I occasionally make video content, and these tend to be much more spontaneous than my written work. In the future, I plan to make longer and more planned videos, but admittedly, you likely won't be getting much value out of watching them presently.

Radical behaviorism has been interesting me for a while, and I've read several of B. F. Skinner's books. I have a few behavioral modification textbooks and may begin a series on the field soon.

As for fiction, my tastes lie fairly mainstream. My most memorable read has been Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment, partly from the sheer time I spent with it, but also from how much I enjoyed the way such a diverse (in a sense of the word applicable to 19th century Russia) cast of characters was written in constant interaction with each other. With modern fiction, I've found the market to be extremely fragmented, so I've recently begun following along Reese Witherspoon's book club.

Often intersecting with my reading, theatre has been one of my favorite activities for a while now. I enjoy seeing familiar stories adapted to a much more engaging medium, and the nature of the community allows me countless opportunities to talk to distinctly creative people. Of course, I enjoy musicals, and Laurence O'Keefe/Nell Benjamin projects are some of my favorites. I've also found Jesus Christ Superstar to be unexpectedly good, and it opened my eyes to the rock genre.
